AS-Motor offers solutions for commercial landscapers
Several AS-Motor machines deliver the cutting performance, outstanding results and high work rates that commercial landscapers require from their professional tools.
Commercial landscaping spans the maintenance of private gardens and ornamental lawns to the conservation of green spaces. In any case, perfect work results are of utmost importance. AS-Motor provides commercial landscapers with the professional technology they need to deliver uniform cutting results, even on challenging terrain. The high quality and robust durability of our machines maximize efficiency and operator safety.
In four months of use and with over 150 working hours on very difficult and uneven terrain with large slopes, the AS 1040 YAK 4WD has proven to be excellent. As far as I am concerned, weeds, grass and bushes are not a problem when YAK 1040 show up.
AS 1040 YAK 4WD is an efficient machine for mowing along roadways. Stable driving when mowing steep slopes. Easy intuitive operation.
For me as a service provider, the AS Sherpa 940 4WD RC is the ideal machine to be able to flexibly and economically carry out a wide range of mowing work for my customers. On the one hand, it is easy to mow lawns that require a well-maintained mowing pattern, and on the other hand, tall grass and undergrowth such as blackberries can be mulched quickly and effectively. We use the mower 50% in ride-on mode and 50% in RC mode. In RC mode, it pleases with its precise handling and in narrow areas with its sensitive response to the control commands via the professional radio control.
Sherpa is absolutely superior to ordinary ride-on mowers due to its low centre of gravity and excellent traction. The AS Sherpa 940 4WD RC closes the gap between an ordinary ride-on mower with four-wheel drive and a caterpillar mower, as it manages slopes that are no longer passable with a ride-on mower, but it also does not tear up the turf on wet green areas when manoeuvring and turning. This is a big advantage in the municipal sector, where we use the Sherpa to mow slopes in towns and on sports fields that should not look like a farmland after mowing.
My latest acquisition from the AS-Motor family is the AS 800, which I call Kurt. It can easily handle 80 cm high grass and thanks to its compact dimensions it can get almost anywhere in between. The switchable differential lock gives me a lot of security and grip on slopes. That's a great relief. The next addition to my vehicle family from Bühlertann will be called Rudi. Kind regards Dietmar Kling.
Our AS 940 Sherpa 4WD RC always inspires us! Thanks to the remote control, it can work in areas where no machine operation would otherwise be possible. Even in rough terrain, the machine can be controlled precisely via the remote control and leaves a sensational cutting pattern even in heavy overgrowth. Our customers are also thrilled!
We own an AS 65, AS 21 and AS 510 since about 4 years now. The machines have a very high quality and an above-average performance when mowing.
We currently have three AS 510s in use. In addition to the good quality and reliability, which are of utmost importance to us as a service provider, the gain in efficiency is particularly impressive. With the professional mulcher, we don't have to mow more often than before with a catcher bag, but we save ourselves the time-consuming disposal of the clippings.
We, the company MT-Anlagenpflege, deal with the care and maintenance of rainwater retention basins, sewage treatment plants and water works. We maintain almost 60 elevated tanks, 90 sewage treatment plants and 160 rainwater retention basins. Our 12 AS machines are indispensable. We are very proud of the AS 1040 YAK 4WD. We received it 5 days after the official presentation. Since these three weeks the machine is running in hard use, we have already mowed 80 hours with this machine. The next YAK has already been ordered.

Professional technology
During the mowing season, professional operators often run their machines 5 days per week, 8 hours per day. AS-Motor’s machines are unbeatable in terms of quality, durability and professional work results. Additional advantages include low weight, lashing points and compact transport dimensions.
Ornamental lawns
Ornamental lawns in both private gardens and public facilities can be maintained with either mulching or collecting mowers. When mulching, the finely-shredded cuttings remain on the surface as natural fertiliser, while collection bags help the operator transport cuttings to a disposal point. Lawns are usually mowed once per week to a cutting height of 40–50 mm, from a maximum height of 15 cm.
Flower meadows
A natural environment for bees, flower meadows make an important contribution to biodiversity and preserving our ecosystem. Flower meadows can quickly grow 40 cm high before blossoming and should be mowed 3–4 times per year. Our professional lawn mowers, mulching mowers with side discharge as well as Allmähers and ride-on mowers help care for flower meadows.
High meadow grass
Because mowing of meadow orchards and roadside greenery can occur only once or twice per year, grass, perennials and shrubbery can grow up to 100 cm high. AS-Motor’s walk-behind Allmähers and ride-on Sherpas deliver high performance and outstanding mulching results in these conditions.
Mulching
Mulching is a process by which grass cuttings are shredded several times into a fine mulch, which then remains on the surface as natural fertiliser. Special mulching blades with a double cutting plane and a circular mulching unit are used on ornamental lawns, while cross-blade systems or flail mowers are primarily used in high grass.
Uneven terrain
Animal burrows, anthills, mole hills and water channels cause uneven terrain. Several AS-Motor machines have high ground clearance, all-wheel drive and limited slip differential, along with appropriately studded field tyres, for uneven terrain.
Slopes
AS-Motor engineers machines with high ground clearance, steep ramp angles, low overall weight, optimal weight distribution and a low centre of gravity to perform on slopes.
All-wheel drive
All-wheel drive not only ensures performance on inclines over 30 degrees, but also a high level of safety for travel downhill. All-wheel drive delivers propulsion in wet conditions and on uneven terrain – even if the wheels of one axle no longer have traction.
Remote-control
Remote controlled devices make the mowing of extreme slopes possible. This technology also allows the operator to mow at a safe distance from dust, wasps, ticks and other hazards.
