Mulching is a process by which grass cuttings are shredded several times into a fine mulch, which then remains on the surface as natural fertiliser. Special mulching blades with a double cutting plane and a circular mulching unit are used on ornamental lawns, while cross-blade systems or flail mowers are primarily used in high grass.

The drive unit can cope with power peaks without shutting down. The intelligent “Power-Peak” system balances the connected batteries in parallel. For maximum range, an additional 28 Ah back battery can be connected. With a record-breaking energy reserve of then 2.912 watt-hours.
If there are collisions the motor is protected by a third motor shaft bearing in conjunction with a friction disc on the mulching blade.
