Handy Allmäher with impressive price/performance ratio

With its classic 3-wheel concept, the AS 21 4T B&S is AS-Motor’s entry level Allmäher. Equipped with a Briggs & Stratton 4-stroke engine with up to 5.5 hp, this Allmäher is suitable for grass up to 60 cm high. A third crankshaft bearing and friction discs on the wing blade protect the engine in the event of unseen obstacles. Large wheels with aggressive tread offer ideal propulsion at speeds up to 3.0 km/h.

Agile maneuvering thanks to the 3-wheel concept

The AS 21 4T B&S easily masters mowing on angles and curves. The swivel front wheel can be mechanically stopped diagonal to the slope while mowing, ensuring stability and comfortable work.
Work rates reaching 1,500 m² per hour are possible due to a powerful Briggs & Stratton engine, traction drive and a 51 cm cutting width. Cutting heights can be easily adjusted in two stages within the range of 55–80 mm on the front wheel while a low overall weight of 42 kg and a removable guide bar mean the AS 21 4T B&S can be reduced in size to compact dimensions and easily transported.

Customer reviews

We avoid chemical pest control and excessive fertilization in our vineyard… We have been using the AS 21 and AS 28 mowers for years. The three-wheel mowers are ideal very agile and cut through tall grass outstandingly well... We mow our slopes with the 2-stroke, so that there is no problem with engine lubrication. With six horsepower the engine from AS is just great and has a lot of power.

Even my grandmother had an AS mower, which at the time was still red and white and had a front wheel with spokes that looked like a bicycle. And my parents had orchards and vineyards... which could only be mowed a scythe or an AS mower.

With 35 year old mowers from AS, we still have fun mowing. That is Swabian quality. We own several "Gütle" (garden plots), one of which is on a steep slope. Our AS 53 B1/R all-wheel drive still does a great job! We also have an AS 45 B1, which is just as old and still in use. Our oldest AS machine still in working order is an AS 21 from 1968, found in grandpa's barn.
