CO2 values according to EU Stage V

The EU regulation 2016/1628 sets new requirements and emission limits for internal combustion engines in non-road mobile machinery and equipment. Devices that come on the market by December 31, 2020 can be equipped with engines according to both the new regulation (Stage V) and the old regulation (Stage I / II). These devices can be sold and used indefinitely. From January 1, 2021 at the latest, all new devices coming on the market must meet the new emission limits and Stage V requirements. In addition, the CO2 emissions of these products must be indicated.

The CO2 measurement results from testing over a fixed test cycle under laboratory conditions a(n) (parent) engine representative of the engine type (engine family) and shall not imply or express any guarantee of the performance of a particular engine.

The CO2 values were not determined in the previously valid exhaust gas measurements and therefore cannot be indicated. You can find out the CO2 values of Stage V engines via the engine’s type approval number and the lists of the respective engine manufacturers linked here. You will find the type approval number on the engine of the device.
