AS-Motor has once again redefined professional slope mowing. With the launch of the new AS 990 Tahr RC, presented at demopark 2025, professionals in landscaping, municipalities & infrastructure maintenance gain a powerful new tool designed for steep terrain, tall vegetation & hard-to-reach areas.

This remote-controlled rotary mower combines performance, safety & durability in one compact package, enabling efficient mowing on slopes up to 55° with an area output of up to 4,500 m² per hour.

Clean & Fast Mowing – Without Turning

The AS 990 Tahr RC features an innovative sickle-shaped mower deck, open on both sides, that delivers a uniform cutting pattern in both directions. This eliminates time-consuming turning, saving operators valuable time.

Its cross-blade system, proven in the popular AS 940 Sherpa, easily cuts grass & undergrowth up to 1.5 metres high. Material is shredded effectively for faster decomposition, leaving behind a clean finish even on lawn-like surfaces.

Built for extreme slopes, the AS 990 Tahr RC combines:

Crawler tracks with even weight distribution for stability.
Low ground pressure (0.13 kg/m²) that protects soil & sward.
Precise remote control with intuitive handling, straight-line mowing & on-the-spot turning.

Thanks to its protruding tracks, the mower can approach slopes from any angle, delivering maximum traction whether moving uphill, downhill, or across the slope.
